TOAD IN THE HOLE

YEP !! Toad in the hole !!
Bila BO & Halimi  jemput  kami sekeluarga untuk dinner di halaman rumahnya...  rasa sangat teruja kerana Bo memang pandai masak. Apa tah lagi kalau masakan ala-ala Barat... tak kira American, English, Italian, French...  rasanya memang ngam aja.

Mula-mula dengan appertizer nya.. main course & diakhiri dengan dessert....memang tak boleh dilupakan. Aieshah & Tillah pun ikut sama....

Dalam banyak-banyak makanan yang dihidangkan, yang tak boleh dilupakan ialah "Toad In The Hole". Bukan namanya saja tak boleh lupa, rasa & keenakkannya ..

Terima kasih Bo kerana selalu murah hati & selalu ajak makan...

Jom buat TOAD in The Hole !

Bahan-bahannya:

113 gm  plain flour
300 ml milk /UHT/ fresh milk
4 eggs  
2 sudu thyme - fresh lagi bagus
6 biji sausages - yang berkualiti sikit
2 table spoons vegetable oil
salt & pepper 

Cara menyediakannya:

  1. Prepare the batter, sift the flour into a large bowl. Add the salt and pepper.
  2. Make a well in the centre of the flour and add the eggs. 
  3. Using a wooden spatula,  beat the eggs into the flour then slowly beat in the milk.
  4. Add in the thyme. Cover and leave to stand for up to 4 hours. 
  5. Preheat the oven 180'C.
  6. Heat a large skillet and cook the sausages until golden-brown all over.
  7. Place the vegetable oil into an ovenproof dish
  8.  Heat in the oven for five minutes or until the dripping is very hot.
  9.  Add the sausages to the hot dish and pour in the batter.
  10.  Immediately return the dish to the oven and cook for 35-40 minutes until well-risen and golden-brown.
